While you're in our lovely city to celebrate our wedding with us, check out some of our favorite places in and around Columbus!

Famous

North Market website
Established in 1876, the North Market is Columbus’ only remaining true public market. More than 30 merchants vend a wide variety of fresh, local, authentic food. Offerings include organic produce, grass-fed beef, pork, lamb and goat, pastured poultry, sustainably raised seafood, locally roasted coffee, baked goods, cheeses, flowers and other artisan food items.
Franklin Park Conservatory website
Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is a premier horticultural and educational institution with a rich history dating back over 150 years.
The Ohio State University website
No matter who you root for, check out the 3rd largest college campus (by enrollment) in the United States. Having nearly 60,000 students ensures there is plenty to do!

Kenneth's Hair Salons & Day Spas website
Alex says she wishes she could go here every day. Award winning hair salon and day spa. Full service spa. Friendly staff. Really nice facility.

Breakfast

Katalina's website
Breakfast and Brunch. They have Gnutella. Filled. Pancake. Balls. Though we don't need to say more to sell this gem, Jay notes the bacon is covered in some slightly spicy sauce that makes it delicious and unique, and Alex notes they have veggie sausage gravy!
Scrambler Marie's website
Scrams is our favorite breakfast and brunch place for the coffee. Jay recommends a dish called "Uncle Moose's Manhandler." Alex gets the "Garden Feta Omelet." But the coffee, though.

Sandwiches

Melt Bar & Grilled website
Grilled cheese. Probably our favorite place to eat right now. One of these sandwiches are good for two meals. Jay loves the "Cleveland Cheese Steak" minus mushrooms. Alex loves the "Kindergarten" with tofu bacon. (Get the rosemary onion aioli on anything you get.)
Harvest Moon Coffee House website
Organic food place in the south-east side of Columbus. Less than a block away from Fantasy Cupcakes.

Pizza

Harvest Pizzeria website
The best pizza in town, no competition. Local ingredients, New York style, flame cooked in a brick oven in the "German Village" section of town. One of our favorite places to visit. We actually liked it better than the famous John's Pizzeria in New York's Time Square.

Salads

Market 65 website
Locally grown produce - they make to-order salads for you, in front of you, Chipotle style. Delicious.

Desserts

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams website
Flavors change all the time. Best Ice Cream in town. Maybe the country. We usually visit the location at Easton Town Center.
Buckeye Donuts website
Great donuts on the east side of OSU's campus on High Street. They also have Mediterranean food, but Jay used to get a donut and coffee between classes some days. Open 24/7.
Fantasy Cupcake website
Delicious cupcakes and cakepops! Favorites: Red Velvet, Snickerdoodle, Strawberry, Vanilla Bean. We could go on. Get some to go. Don't want the calories? Get the cakepops. This place is less than a block away from Harvest Moon Coffee House also on this list, in Canal Winchester.
Jolly Pirate Donuts website
Jay likes the peanut covered donut. Alex prefers the coffee cake crumble. There are several locations around town.

Movies

AMC 30 Easton Town Center website
Thirty theaters in Columbus' Easton Town Center shopping mall. This is a "Fork and Screen" and "Cinema Suites" location - you can order food to be served in the theater by a wait staff. Both have comfy leather chairs. The latter chairs recline with electric foot-rests!

Columbus Bowling Palace website
Open 24/7, you can always go bowling here! The most lanes of any location in town.
8-Ball Sports Bar & Billiards website
They're open until 1:00 am daily, which is great for a late game after a movie. Many leagues run out of here, but walk-ins can still play by the hour. Tons of tables.
Hoover Dam, Brent Hambrick Memorial Disc Golf Course website
Free outdoor course - just bring your discs!

Nice place to run.
Tennis at New Albany High School website
If the weather's nice, play free! Fabulous courts.

Indoor tennis courts, with SmartCourt support. Jay plays in a league here.

House of Worship

World Harvest Church website
Jay and Alex's church, where Jay has served on the ministry staff for over a decade. WHC is a non-denominational Christian congregation of Spirit-filled believers in Jesus Christ with campuses in Columbus, Ohio and Elkhart, Indiana - and ministries that span the entire globe 24/7. Worship services: Sundays at 10 a.m. & Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Pastor: Rod Parsley.

Historic Places

Ohio Statehouse website
Did you know President Abraham Lincoln was laid in repose in the rotunda after his assassination? This building is the seat of government for the state of Ohio.
Ohio Theatre website
In our opinion, this is the most elegant live-performance venue in Ohio. We make it out to plays and musicals whenever we can.

Malls & Shopping

Polaris Fashion Place website
Very nice mall on the northern side of Columbus. Closer to the wedding venue than Easton.
Easton Town Center website
We usually go to this mall over Polaris. It has everything, including one of the nicest theaters in town.
